Wildlife Area Volunteer Session

Events

Next dates

Come along and volunteer in Rowntree Park's wildlife area!

Sessions are taking place the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month and you can join in anytime between 10-12pm.

If joining at 10am, meet under the cafe and help take the tools over, or join later by heading to the Wildlife Area (Butcher terrace recreation field nearest Millennium Bridge Gate to the park).

Stay as little or as long as you like up to 12pm.

No knowledge of gardening needed, just an interest to get involved and enjoy time in nature and have a go!

The area has an orchard, pond, bog garden, and we are working on a wildlife flower meadow, rockery for amphibians, scything meadow grasses and generally continuing to tidy the area so wildlife can thrive!

You can just pop down on the day or... The small group of volunteers also have a Whatsapp group, so if you'd like to be added to that you can register interest in volunteering on our website and we will be in touch:
