York Ice Trail

The UK’s biggest outdoor Ice Trail and one of York’s best loved events, will return for more FREE family friendly fun on the 3rd and 4th February 2024 with a range of magnificent ice sculptures transforming the city centre.

The trail starts at 10.00am and runs through to approximately 5.00pm, weather dependent.

Dream big, and let your creativity run wild exploring magical, fictional, and spectacular masterpieces which turn York into ‘The City of Dreams’.

Live carving, interactive experiences and the chance to win great prizes, it’s an extraordinary day out!

When you need to refuel, Shambles Food Court offers the finest food-to-go and if you find yourself in need of some assistance during the weekend, our friendly and fabulous staff at the Visitor Information Centre on Parliament Street will be there to sprinkle some magic on your York Ice Trail journey - 'The City of Dreams' awaits!
